Hailing from Kitchener, ON, Mockingbird Wish Me Luck is Mike Arnott (guitar, vocals), Bishop Wierzbicki (bass, vocals), Amos Leblanc (guitar), and Shane Tyrer (drums). Forming in 2007, the band recorded their first EP titled Goodbye Debris in 2009. With Goodbye Debris, the band caught the attention of Canadian Indie label Dine Alone Records (Alexisonfire, Tokyo Police Club, City and Colour) and signed to the label in the spring of 2010.
Since signing to Dine Alone the band has re-released Goodbye Debris and in December 2010 they released a 7” titled Branches. The band is currently working on new material for a full-length album expected out later this year.
Mockingbird Wish Me Luck is heading into Summer 2011 with a full schedule including a national tour in support of UK punk band Sharks, a coveted opening slot for famed punk group Hot Water Music’s NXNE Performance and an appearance at Toronto’s EdgeFest.
