Destiny Event Productions proudly presents the return of North America’s one and only premiere three-day Electronic music festival WEMF, August 12-14, 2011 in the picturesque hills of South Algonquin, ON overlooking beautiful Algonquin Park. Launched in 1995, WEMF has established itself as the ultimate experience for Electronic music and its culture, acting as a rite of passage for generations of fans and musicians alike. Past headliners have included some of the biggest names in Electronic music, including Deadmau5, MSTRKRFT, Paul Oakenfold, BT live, and Pendulum.
Continuing to build upon WEMF’s incredible success, the 15th annual WEMF promises to be bigger and better than ever before, featuring three days and two nights of non-stop music and entertainment, visual art displays, and over 200 performers from all over the world. Headlining the festival this year are some of the hottest names in Electronic music today, including UK Dubstep phenomenon RUSKO, world-renowned DJ CALVIN HARRIS, Electro-Dubstepper SKRILLEX, Psy-Trance innovators INFECTED MUSHROOM, awardwinning Drum N Bass Superstar Andy C and Dutch Electronic music trio NOISIA. An exciting addition to WEMF this year – and for the first time ever in Canada — is the “Tower of Destiny”, a major highlight at last year’s Burning Man festival. Dedicated to providing WEMF fans with the best concert experience possible, this year a stronger emphasis is placed on developing and nurturing the community. WEMF 2011 will feature multiple stages that are created, funded and operated by WEMF ticket holders. All WEMF ticket holders that are looking for the opportunity to give back to the community can present their concept for a community stage to WEMF through a simple application process. WEMF will then decide which concepts work best for the festival.
